Ocean Drilling & Exploration Pvt. Ltd. is actively engaged in the exploration of Critical and Strategic Minerals across India through scientifically planned and systematic exploration programmes. As the global transition towards clean energy, advanced manufacturing, electric mobility and high-technology industries accelerates, the demand for Critical Minerals has grown significantly. Our current exploration portfolio focuses on Rare Earth Elements (REE), Vanadium, Graphite, Barium and other associated Critical Minerals, which are indispensable for renewable energy technologies, electric vehicles, permanent magnets, energy storage systems, electronics, aerospace, defence and advanced manufacturing. Through these projects, Ocean Drilling & Exploration Pvt. The North of Kuship Block is being explored to evaluate the occurrence and distribution of Rare Earth Elements and associated critical minerals. Rare Earth Elements are indispensable for manufacturing permanent magnets, electric vehicles, wind turbines, electronics, aerospace components and advanced defence technologies. Systematic exploration of these resources contributes towards strengthening India's critical mineral resource base and supporting future clean energy technologies.
The Northern Siwana Ring Complex is recognised as a favourable geological terrain for Rare Earth Element mineralisation. This project is aimed at evaluating the mineral potential of the area through systematic exploration to support future resource development. Rare Earth Elements are critical for renewable energy technologies, advanced electronics, high-performance magnets and strategic industrial applications.
The Chaura–Maunkanda Block is being explored to assess the potential of Vanadium, Graphite, Barium and associated minerals through systematic geological investigations. Vanadium is an important alloying metal used in high-strength steels and emerging energy storage technologies. Graphite is an essential raw material for lithium-ion batteries and several industrial applications, while Barium-bearing minerals are widely used in the oil and gas, chemical, glass and ceramics industries.
Critical minerals are indispensable for electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, battery technologies and permanent magnets that support the global transition towards sustainable energy.
